Verse
As I sit down to read a bit, I pick up the book and read the following:

"Say: Do you see what it is you invoke besides Allah? Show me what it is they have created on earth, or have they a share in the heavens? Bring me a Book (revealed) before this, or any remnant of knowledge (you mat have), if you are telling the truth!" Qur'an [46:4]

This sort of passage is littered throughout the Qur'an. It is clearly a challenge to the detractors of the prophet, but it is built on a fallacy (appeal to ignorance). The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

I guess critical thinking is not taught at the madrassas.
